On top of our in house team, there are many local vendor partners that we are happy to recommend to you below.  Every event is different and we hope that this list will give you the options you need to fulfill your event dreams.

If you have a favorite vendor – please don’t hesitate to recommend them to us so we can vet them for you. We may already know them and of course would like to introduce them to our historic property!

Della Terra - Barn Chef Cody Castiglia

Cody Castiglia is the chef and owner of Della Terra Catering. He is educated in culinary arts and hotel and restaurant management, but he was practically born in the kitchen, as he is a third generation cook and entrepreneur. He started in the kitchen learning Italian classics from his grandmother, Loretta. Originally from Western New York, his career has led him to some of the top hotels and restaurants in Dallas, Park City, New York, and now Seattle.

Chef Cody gained experience at the 1200 room Hyatt Regency Dallas, the flagship restaurant of former Best Chef in the U.S., Stephan Pyles and the Craving Restaurant. Most recently, Cody was the opening Chef de Cuisine at a fine dining, farm-to-table restaurant in Hamburg, NY called Carte Blanche. He now teaches farm to table cooking classes for the public at four different venues in the Seattle area. His cooking philosophy is simply using the finest, local, in-season ingredients and treating them respectfully.

Della Terra provides the Seattle area with high end, Italian-inspired, farm-to table catering. Because of our commitment to local and seasonal produce, menus will be constantly changing. Menus and events will be custom built to accommodate each group’s needs, guests, and budget. No two events will be identical, however they will always feature sustainable seafood, local, non-GMO produce and meat, and handmade pasta and gnocchi made from local ingredients. Della Terra will source at least 90% of ingredients used from within 100 miles of Seattle, with preference to small family farms on the Eastside.

His Mission

  • To provide unforgettable, fine-dining restaurant quality food and service in a banquet setting.
  • To sourcing each ingredient, to benefit the local community and environment.
  • To develop and mentor young chefs through internship programs with culinary schools and scholarships.

Dance Instruction

Ashley Fouch – Dance Instructor

Ashley is a delight to add to your party!  Whether you want participation from the crowd or help with a break out dance choreography or your first dance, Ashley is here to help.

Maybe you want some bonding around learning a dance step together or pulling out your inner dance child.  In addition to traditional barn dancing, Ashley has instructional experience in tap, ballet, jazz, and hip hop.

Ashley fell in love with dancing at the age of three. Anytime there was music playing, she was moving! She took Ballet and gymnastics simultaneously for several years until she decided to commit to ballet, and danced through middle school until her sophomore year in high school.

Due to injuries and auto-immune disease, Ashley left her studio, and thought she was done with dance forever. But, she couldn't stop. She continued to learn new forms of dance and choreograph for her friends and family whenever they would let her! Through healthy living and therapeutic dance, Ashley came back to dance and began instructing at the Mill Creek YMCA, eventually branching out to the Marysville and Mukilteo branches.

Ashley currently teaches Ballet, Lyrical, Jazz, Swing, Line Dance, Hip Hop, and assists a senior dance group. In the fall of 2016, she choreographed Jackson High School’s musical “The Hot Mikado.” She has also worked with couples to create special occasion/wedding dances. She hopes to remain a healthy, happy dancer for the rest of her life, and share the joy of dance with all her students.

Ashley is offering complimentary consultations with the bride and groom during The Barn open house evenings. Please reserve time in advance for those open house dates.

Schedule your personalized dance experience during the following standard times:

Thursday evenings 3:00 – 10:00 pm

Friday evenings 3:00 – 10:00 pm

Saturday evenings 3:00 – 10:00 pm

Please contact Ashley regarding other possible scheduling options.

Pacific Northwest Cupcakes

The Pacific Northwest is known for its abundance of locally grown and sustained ingredients – everything from grass-fed beef, to pastured chickens, to acres of vineyards, to rows and rows of apple trees, to fields of wheat and grain, to crop rows of produce – and the list goes on. Our region is often referred to as the culinary dream location – (almost) everything you could need to create a culinary masterpiece is at your fingertips in this farmer-rich region. Pacific Northwest Cupcakes was founded on my passion for ingredients and produce that are sustainably-sourced, all-natural, organic, and local… ingredients that weren’t genetically modified, were marked free-trade, and were produced with both the environment and the employees in mind.

When you bite into a luxurious Pacific Northwest Cupcakes treat, you can rest assured you are consuming only the highest and purest quality ingredients of the Seattle bakeries : local, organic, all natural, sustainable, non-GMO, and fair trade. You will not find fondant in our shop, and with the rare exception of some custom orders or noted descriptions, we do not use any artificial food dye or coloring, and we never add any preservatives. We serve beautiful confections made with simple, pure, whole ingredients. Quality, healthy nutrition (indulgence!) and environmental consciousness remain in the foreground at Pacific Northwest Cupcakes, which is one of the qualities that makes our desserts unique.

A note for our gluten-free, vegan, and paleo clients || most of our cake (and therefore cupcake) recipes can be made gluten-free and/or vegan (including vegan cream cheese frosting and vegan coconut-based caramel). We can also do nut-free paleo upon request. Paleo options are available for numerous of our cake and pastries, but due to the difficulty and finesse of paleo baking, not all.

Seattle Knights

The Seattle Knights are an integral part of our events with theatrical “interruptions". They are the Pacific Northwest’s premiere sword fighting and jousting theatrical troupe.

With equestrian thrills and high-octane choreographed stage combat using real weapons, the Seattle Knights bring you the best of medieval history and fantasy.

Knights in shining armor salute their opponents with lance and shield, and send their warhorses thundering down the list; they meet with a crash that fills the arena, and the audience leaps to its feet with a roar.

On the field of combat, armored knights charge each other with weapons ready. With a clash of steel, they battle for honor and glory, swords blurring in a flurry of speed and skill that ends only when one of them hits the ground or yields.

This is just a taste of what the Seattle Knights can bring: fanciful and legendary characters from the elaborate world of Tir na n’Og, brought to life with passion and exuberance.  The excitement will have any audience cheering for their favorite knight as he or she enters the field of honor to face an equally skilled and determined opponent. The Seattle Knights combine equestrian thrills, high-energy acting, and choreographed stage combat using real weapons. We offer a variety of special show packages, any of which can be tailored to fit your individual needs and budget.

Pirates of Puget Sound

The Pirates of Puget Sound switch hats to bring you the wildest bunch of skallywags to ply the seven seas.

These scurvy dogs are fierce and not to be trifled with, attacking one another at the drop of a parrot with everything from boarding axes and belaying pins to cutlasses and cutting wit — all laced with dazzling feats of acrobatics, tumbling, and tomfoolery.

Spoken of in hushed whispers in port side taverns around the world as the infamous “Jack Pack,” these raucous rowdies all go by the name “Jack” in one form or another.  It may be a wee bit confusing aboard ship, but it does makes cheering a lot easier.  Besides making sure ye never forget a shipmate’s name!

The Pirates of Puget Sound not only provide entertainment and combat with a piratical flair, they also specialize in providing kids entertainment. They come equipped with several pirate games that are appropriate for kids of all ages.

Dave Block Photography

As your photographer, you'll find my skills in lighting, composition, posing, and the technical aspects of photography balanced with a joy for people, interactions, capturing moments and beauty, and staying on schedule with no drama. Whether for a wedding or a family portrait session, you'll find that I consider it my job to make things go smoothly and easily as much as it is to craft the great image.

Last thing to know about me? I’m probably one of the least flaky creative people you’ll ever meet. I am a visual artist who knows how to drive a spreadsheet and am always on time. Hey, that’s a pretty unique combination of skills in a photographer 😉
